Good golf start in stableford

Twenty-two stableford points on the first nine holes gave Mrs J. Davey a good start in the Stableford Trophy event, played last Thursday. Her overall total of 38 points was the best score for the day. Resuits were: Senior: Mrs I. Taw,era, 33 stableford points; Mrs N. Gardner, Mrs P. Paul and Mrs P. Thompson 32.: Intermediate: Mrs M. Dolman, 35 points; Mrs N. Bodle, 34; Miss E. Parkinson, 33.

Junior: Mrs Davey, 38 points; Mrs M. Moss, 33; Mrs N. Browning and Mrs E. Law, 32. Twos were scored by Mrs Moss on the 16th, and Mrs N. Britten on the 17th. Handicap reductions: D. Barnes 34-32; M. Gawn 36-35; K. de Malmanche 25-24; B. Dickie 23-22; P. Ellisdon 34-31; M. Tapalaga 29-28; J. Davey 26-23; M. Ryan gained a 35 handicap.
