Society's work is explained

The work of the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child was explained to members of the Tirohanga branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers at their May meeting. The guest speakers were Mr Greene and Mr Reynolds, from Rotorua, Branch members were most impressed with the talk and much discussion took place.

Crochet classes have begun. Mrs B. Philpott is the instructor and the classes are held on Monday afternoons at members homes. Competition results: — Best Bloom: B. Philpott 1,. A. Hanham 2, B. Winchester 3. Best Shrub: B. Philpott 1, B. Winchester 2. The hostesses for the meeting were Mrs B. McLaren and Mrs M. Broughton.
