Man hurt in crash
A Taupo man was hurt when the car in which he was a passenger collided with another car at the intersection of Rifle Range Road and Mere Road at 4.45 p.m. on Saturday. Brian Anderson, 13 Rawhiti Street, was treated at Taupo Hospital for cuts to his head and left wrist. He was later discharged. The driver of the other car, Gabriel Robin McKenzie, of Wellington, suffered slight cuts to the face. The car in which Mr Anderson was travelling was extensively damaged in the collision.
