FIRST MEETINGS OF NEW YEAR

Life returns to normal as schools resume next week, and two local societies hold their first meetings of the year. On Monday night, the Ladies' Circle meets at the tennis pavilion at 7.45, and interested women are invited to attend. There will be a car trial, the participants returning to the pavilion for supper and the customary competition of any article personally made. The floral art class of the Floral Art and Garden Club will be held on Tuesday at 1.30 p.m. at the home of Mrs P. K. Andrews, 23 Rokino Rd. The subject will be "Holiday Spirit" and those attending should take suitable flowers and containers and mechanical aids. Mrs A. Harvey will instruct the class.
