Box 537, TAUPO 21/Sch TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF WATER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that as from Thursday, 19 November, 1970 and until further notice, the following restrictions shall apply to the use of hoses, sprinklers or other devices for the spreading of water in the following areas: TAUPO BOROUGH - TAUHARA TOWN— WHAREWAKA POINT 1. Hoses may be used at any time, provided that they are continuously HELD IN THE HAND. 2. Sprinklers may be . used MONDAY to FRIDAY (inclusive) during the hours of DAYLIGHT and in accordance with the following schedule based upon the displayed house street numbers. Only one sprinkler per property may be used. DAY LAST NUMBER Monday 0 and 5 Tuesday l and 6 Wednesday 2 and 7 Thursday 3 and 8 Friday 4 and 9 EXAMPLE — House No. 128
may use sprinklers on Thursday, while house No. 2 may use sprinklers on a Wednesday. 3. Sports bodies requiring water for ground maintenance must obtain permission as to times from the Borough Engineer. 4. Street numbers of corner sections or any other site with more than one frontage shall be the number displayed as a postal address. 5. Double sections shall be classified as one section and allowed one day usage per week. 6. No spreading of water shall be allowed for half an hour after the sounding of the fire siren. 7. Presently metered properties are not exempted from these requirements without approval of the Borough Engineer. The position could deteriorate if full co-operation is not received and all citizens are urged to comply to avoid the lmposition of more severe restrictions.
