WON $100

Havelock North angler Mr B. J. Perry, who set the pace in the Leisure Time contest in Taupo until last week won the major prize in the Turangi

Lions Club fishing competition. Mr Perry took $100 for the best condition factor section of the annual event. He weighed in a 61b brown trout which measured 22% inches long and had a relative condition factor of 56.26. Mr P. West, of Blockhouse Bay, recorded the heaviest fish, of 91b lOoz, and he also took out the "mystery" prize of $50. A condition factor of 44.79 gave Mrs J. Jensen, of Turangi, the women s prize. Penny Reason, of Te Aroha, and M. Moore Palmerston North, gained prizes of fly rods for their success in the junior sections.
