Five girls in Miss Geyserland quest

Five Taupo girls will be sponsored by local businessmen in the 1971 Miss Geyserland contest. Two sisters, Pamela and Sheron Whyte, are among the entrants. The others are Cheryl Reardon, Joy Scandlyn and Alison McCash. Pamela Whyte will enter the contest as Miss Acme Outboard Marine . . . . Sheron Whyte as Miss Vogue Gowns Cheryl Reardon is Miss Tip Top, 1971 Joy Scandlyn represents the Greatlake Motor Company .... and Alison McCash becomes Miss Earle Smith 's Footwear Miss Geyserland will be named at a ball in Rotorua on February 27. Plans are under way to present the girls to the Taupo public in mid-February.
