IN TIME OF EMERGENCY

The Soviet Government has issued a new regulation which enables doctors and auxiliary medical personnel, in cases where any delay would endanger a patient, to make use of all forms of public transport — road, rail, air, river Or sea — free of charge on production of a certificate. They can also stop and get lifts from ordinary private or commercial vehicles, giving the driver a form stating the purpose of the journey. Transport may be similarly requisitioned to get a patient to hospital.
