Notable Visitor
Among the visitors expected in Taupo on Saturday to watch the raft race will be Mr Tibor Sekelj, of Beograd, Yugoslavia. Mr Sekelj, a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, is an author and journalist and is in New Zealand as part of a commission from Yugoslav TY to produce six programmes on Australia, New Zealand and New Guinea. Mr Sekelj will be filming parts of the raft race.
