SANDILANDS, NORRIS THE CHAMPIONS

T. Sandilands (skip) and E. Norris won the Taupo Bowling Club's pairs championship on Saturday, beating W. Potter (skip) and J. Benson 20-19 in a close and interesting final. Potter and Benson won through 27-17 against C. Loffley (skip) and J. Girardin in the semi-finals while Sandilands and Norris had the bye. On Sunday 32 players started the . championship singles and 24 survived, eight of them with two lives. The competition will continue next Sunday and the draw is: Two lifers: T. Sandilands v J. Dillon; J. Warner v H. Bleakley; C. Loffley v C. Waterhouse; J. Garardin v G. Brown. One lifers: J. WoodWard v R. O Callaghan; S. Petersen v W. Hancock; C. Parlane v D. Evans; S. Taylor v R.
