POPULARITY OF STAMPS RESULTS IN COMPETITION
This set of four stamps was released for Christmas in Western Samoa. Last year's festive season stamps proved so popular that it was decided to hold a competition in Apia for painting and artwork of a suitable design and of religious significance. The contest was confined to persons resident in Western Samoa.
