Cricket resumes

Taupo club cricket resumes on Saturday, with competition leader Wanderers meeting College Old Boys at the Kaimanawa Reserve, and second placed Taupo playing College at the College. Sole selector Mr B. Choat has named a strong representative team to meet a touring New South Wales Country XI at Taupo on January 14. A practice is scheduled for 5 p.m. today and another run has been called for Monday. The 12 players to attend ,are: B. McPherson (captain), P. Vivian, T. Cullen, A. Hunter (Taupo), D. Hunt (vicecaptain), B. Carlton, W. Davey, M. West (Wanderers), N. Cambie, J. Darlington, J. Govind (College Old Boys), J. Williamson (College).
