Ph. 534 u/c TAUPO COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Taupo County Council held on Thursday, 17th December, 1970, the following resolution was passed, and if will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday, 19th January, 1971 at 10.00 a.m. in the Council Chambers, 72 Lake Terrace, Taupo.

RESOLUTION That pursuant to the Counties Act 1956 and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other acts, powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Taupo County Council hereby resolves by way of Special order as follows: 1. A Special Loan of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) be raised for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939. 2. The name of the said Special Loan shall be the "Rural Housing Loan 1970". 3. The term of the said Special Loan shall be thirtyfive (35) years. 4. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or so much thereof as is for the time being raised and not repaid shall be four and three quarters per cent (4%%) per annum payable half yearly, the first such payments to be made not later than six months after the date of the payment of the first instalment of the loan by the Corporation to the said Council, such initerest to be computed on the daily debtor balances in the accounts of the Corporation. 5. The Council shall pay to the Corporation each half year in reduction of the principal monies advanced by the Corporation to the Council an amount equal to the sum of all the amounts of principal which are expressed to be payable to the Council during that half year under the agreements enitered into by the said Council with the various farmers to whom the said Council has advanced any of the loan monies, together with any additional principal which may be paid by such farmers. 6. No amounts payable by the Council in respect of principal or interest owing to the Corporation shall be paid out of loan monies. 7. No amounts shall be payable for brokerage, underwriting, or placement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or anj part thereof. 6. The security for the said Special Loan shall be by way of a debenture in terms of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 charged on a special rate ot .00951 cents in the dollar on the unimproved value of the rateable property within the County of Taupo. 9. That a poll of ratepayers be taken if not less than five percent (5%) of the ratepayers whose names appear on the ratepayers' roll of the district, by writing under their hancte, deliver or send by post to the local authority not later than the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution, a demand that a poll be taken on the proposal.
