OVER 70 ENTRIES FOR POWER BOAT RACE ON LAKE TAUPO
Over 70 power boats will face the starter in raees over 40 and 80 miles on Lake Taupo on Saturday. It will be the sixth annual Rothmans sponsored event and the entry is the largest ever. The boats will begin their endurance and speed duels at 1.15 p.m. from a point adjacent to the Beach Haven Hotel. The course runs along the lakefront towards the boat harbour then down the lake on a big L shape leg before re suming up lake past Whare whaka, FourMile Bay and Rainbow Point.
