Moana Reef Motel Launched
The motel will provide 16 luxury holiday apartments on the shores of the lake. Three of the apartments will be isolated chalets and the remainder contained in a three level building stepping down the slope between the main highway and the lake. The overall design is the result of the owner's wish to provide the best in both building, furnishings and facilities, pools and gardens. Entry to the building will be through a spacious foyer
which will lead to galleries giving access to the units in the main block. The galleries will surround a three storied internal garden which will be lit by a lantern light in the roof. Wide balconies to each unit will overlook the gardens and the lake. Chalets nestling in the gardens will provide a varietv of accommodation which should appeal particularly to the travelling family. Three pools on different leveis integrated with barbeque corners, a stream, lawns and terraces will be an exciting playground. The walk from the unit to the lake will be a fascinating experience both by day and night. The path will wander past lit thermal pools, small glades, screened corners, little waterfall and bridges, lawns and terraces. Mature trees and carefully designed landscape details will ensure that when the motel opens it will be completed. The architects are F. T. Smith Sinclair McNaught and Partners.
