| AFFORESTATION LOAN ! 1970 — $38,786 NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Taupo County Council held on Thursday, 17th December, 1970 the following resolution was passed and it will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday, 19th Janu- ' ary, 1971, at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers, Lake Terrace, Taupo: RESOLUTION THAT PURSUANT TO THE COUNTIES ACT 1956, THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES LOANS ACT 1956 AND ALL OTHER ACTS, POWERS AND AUTHORITIES ENABLING IT IN THAT BEHALF, THE TAUPO COUNTY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER AS FOLLOWS — 1. A Special Loan of thirtyeight thousand seven hundred and eighty-six dollars be raised for the purpose of establishing and tending a woodlot of 451 acres on land described as part Runanga No. 2A Block, Blocks VII and Vin Maruanui Survey District. 2. The name of the said Special Loan shall be "The Taupo County .Council Rangitaiki Afforestation Loan 1970". 3. The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be up to 40 years. 4. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 3 per cent per annum compounded annually on an amount of up to $36,080 and 6 per cent per annum compounded annually on an amount of up to $2706. 1 5. The said loan or so much of the principal thereof as is due and owing together with interest thereon shall be paid in full on the maturity thereof. 6. The payments of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. 7. The security for the said Special Loan shall be a special rate of decimal nought nought eight three (.0083) cents in the dollar secured on the unimproved value of all the rateable property within the County of Taupo and that the Special Rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of forty years (40) or until the said Special Loan is fully paid off. 8. That a poll of ratepayers be taken if five per cent (5%) of the ratepayers within the County of Taupo so demand by writing under their hands and delivered or sent by post to the County Clerk, Taupo County Council, 72 Lake Terrace (Private Bag) Taupo not later than the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the foregoing resolution passed by way of Special Order to raise the said Special Loan. 17th December, 1970.
