TOP LINERS TO ENTERTAIN
Next Wednesday, December 30, as part of the Public Relations Office's arranged entertainment for holidaymakers, the Universal Show will feature in the Memorial Hall. Top line entertainers are included in the show, some of them being New Zealand 's most famed rock 'n roll artist Johnny Devlin, closer to home, Nash Chase, and this year's Golden Disc winner, Hogsnort Rupert's Original Flagon Band. Johnny Devlin has made brief appearances in his home country in recent years but now resides in Australia. With the revival of rock 'n roll music his presence in the show should be a feature. Nash Chase rose to prominence in the Studio One New Faces talent quest on television. His talent is in-bred —
all 1 7 members of the Chase family are musical. Hogsnort Rupert and the tune Pretty Girl are the top group in the country and their performances are as exciting and original as the name suggests. The show starts at 8 p.m.
