39 POWER BOAT RACE ENTRIES
Organisers of the Rothmans power boat races on Lake Taupo on January 2 have already received 39 firm entries and they are expecting up to another 30 before the closing date. The event, expected to be one of the highlights of the Public Relations Office's holiday entertainment programme has already attracted a number of the country s top offshore racers which should find lake conditions to their liking. There will be two races one over 50 miles and the other over 100 miles.
