GREATER INCOME
The Taupo Golf Club showed an excess of income over expenditure of $13,202.59 in the financial year ended September 30. This compared with $12,312 the previous year. Income, at $42,378, was $1680 up on 1969 and expenditure, at $7676, up by $456. Major items of income were subscriptions, $19,648 ($17,167), green fees, $14,528 ($18,155), entrance fees, $3203 ($1705) and tournament fees, less expenses, $1405. Salaries and commissions took $3169 ($3072), subscriptions and
levies $637 ($614) and trophies $539 ($615). Clubhouse maintenancc, at $3167, was considerably up on the previous year's figure of $2828. Course maintenance, at $18,331, and including water charges of $2511 ($2430) was almost identical with the 1969 figure. Assets, less creditors, had a net hook value of $105,042, considerably more than the 1969 figure of $83,742, but the cost of the new clubhouse to date, $68,382.50. more than covered any increase. Accumulated funds at September 30 were $83,242, against $69,531 the previous year.
