SUCCESSFUL CHORAL YEAR

The 1970 year was another successful one for the Taupo Ladies' Choir, said its conductor, Mrs Maureen Potter, LTCL, LRSM, this week. v It began with performances at farewells to the Rev. V. P. Williams and Father De Bree. The choir's annual concert took the form of a Cantata, and was combined with a performance by the Operatic and' Dramatic Societies. The sum of $200 was raised and was donated to the Crippled Children Society. Entertainment was also provided for the Ladies Circle Christmas party and the Young Wives' Anglican Church group. 4 The choir combined with the dramatic group of the Ladies' Group for a concertfor the Senior Citizens' Club. Rehearsals for 1971 will commence on February 15 at Mrs Potter's residence.
