Dessert or appetizer

Chefs love wine not only after a long day's hard work but even more — so they say — as a vital ingredient for particularly delicious dishes. Here is a soup well worth tasting and one which can be served either as a dessert or as an appetizer. DEIDESHEIMER RIESLING SOUP 4 tablespoons cornflour 1 pt. Riesling white wine V2 bar of cinnamon 2 tablespoons sugar Lemon peel Whites of 2 eggs 1 teaspoon icing sugar Add cornflour to one pint water, heat on low flame and stir well, add wine, cinnamon, sugar and lemon peel, simmer. Beat egg whites with icing sugar until stiff and decorate on top of the soup to form "peaks". Serve with trifle biscuits.
