About 150 children met Father Christmas at the Taupo R.S.A. on Sunday afternoon. The association hosted crippled and intellectually handicapped children along with the families of and the occasion drew smiles of delight and happiness from them all. Santa, attended by one of his fairies, arrived to a tumultuous welcome on the back of a station utility and dispensed sweets and presents from under a sun umbrella. Every child received a present. Lolly scrambles, ice creams and soft drinks, and games, capped a successful function.
