ORATORY CONTEST

Taupo Jaycee's recent oratory contest was won by Mr B. Coburn, who spoke on the foundation of the Plunket Society. Mr G. Thompson came second and his subject was Charles Upham, V.C. The adjudicator was Mr B. Gustafson, a teacher at the Taupo-nui-a-Tia College. Jaycee will hold a similar contest next year.
