TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS 9th OCTOBER, 1965 CLOSING OF SUPPLEMENTARY ROLL NOTICE is hereby given that the District Electors' Roll is open for inspection and copies are available for sale at the Municipal Office during normal office hours. Any person of the full age of twenty-one years who is a British subject and has resided in New Zealand for one year and in the Borough of Taupo during the three months then last past, is entitied to have his or her name entered on the list. Persons holding freehold or rating qualifications, as provided for in the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, are also entitled to enrolment. Any person entitled to be enrolled and whose name does not appear on the Main Roll, should make immediate application for enrolment as the Supplementary Roll CLOSES at 5 P.M., FRIDAY, 10th September, 1965. WINTON, Town Clerk. •5/9 TAUPO COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER STAFF HOUSING LOAN 1965 — £32,000 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following resolution intended to operate as a special order was passed by the Taupo County Council, in pursuance of powers contained in the Counties Act 1956, at a Special Meeting held on the 30th AUGUST, 1965, and the said resolution will be submitted to the Council for confirmation at the ORDINARY MEETING on 28th SEPTEMBER, 1965:— "THAT, pursuant to Section 34 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo County Council hereby resolves by Special Order to borrow the sum of £32,000 to be known as the Staff Housing Loan 1965 — £32,000, for the purpose of providing staff housing, the security for the said loan to be a special rate of decimal nought five five pence (.055d.) in the £. on the capital value of all rateable property within the whole of Taupo County, the term of the said loan to be 25 years and the rate of interest to be 514%, principal and interest to be repaid by equal half-yearly instalments." Attention is drawn to Section 34 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, which provides that before the date fixed for confirmation of the resolution to raise a special loan, not less than 5 per cent. of the ratepayers whose names appear on the ratepayers' roll of the district may, by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the local authority not later than the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution, demand that a poll be taken on the proposal. Tarawera Street, Tokaanu, occupied by Tokaanu Tearooms Ltd. for an extension to the existing tearooms by extending them towards Tarawera Street and Te Kakakau Road and to establish motel units and a motor camp cabin on the southern side of the tearooms. The above mentioned land is zoned Rural in the Tongariro Riding Section of the Taupo County District Scheme. The consent of the Council to the proposal would be subject to the applicant's compliance in all respects with its building bylaws, Code of Ordinances, all other relevant regulations and such particular conditions as are deemed warranted by the Council in this instance.
