30 From Taupo At Gathering
Thirty members of the Taupo congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses are making plans to attend a large gathering of the group to be held in Hamilton on September 9 to 12. Leader of the local delegation, Mr V P. P. LeRoy, says that this biggest ever convention for Hamilton is expected to attract 2300 from all parts of * the Auckland province. Mr LeRoy spoke of the challenge confronting the - * convention organisers in Hamilton, having to arrange accommodation for all the, . . visiting delegates. A citywide house-to-house hunt * for rooms is now being conducted and hundreds of beds have been booked at motelsw and hotels. Concluded Mr LeRoy, "we have looked forward to this convention for many months and we are antieipating a programme that > will instill in us a deeper appreciation of our Christian responsibilities.,,
