The maximum demand on the Taupo Borough Council electrical system for July was 6440 k.w. at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15. The maximum demand from the State was 5340 k.w. at the same time. Units distributed were 2,501,005; 698,685 units generated at the Hinemaiaia power station and 1,802,320 units purchased from the State. No units were sold to the State during the period. This represehted increases of 16.2 per cent at maximum demand and 24.76 per cent on units distributed.
