Gilkison, of Turangi, Company Director, wishes to apply to the Taupo County Council for its consent under Section 35 of the said Act to a specific departure from the Taupo County Operative District Scheme, Tongariro Riding Section, to permit the erection of a new dwelling on his property situated off State Highway No. 1, at Turangi, being Lot 2 D.P. 11711, being part Section 3, Block I Turangi Town, Block 10 Puketi S.D. and all land in certificate of title Volume 430 folio 270 part. (South Auckland Registry). Such property is included in a residential zone under the said District Scheme and the erection of any building within 15 feet from any boundary on a rear site is not permitted. The design of the hoiise is such that to take the best advantage of the section, it requires to be sited within 15 feet of the southern boundary. TAUPO BOROUGH COUNCIL MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS 9th OCTOBER, 1965 CLOSJNG OF SUPPLEMENTARY ROLL NOTICE is hereby given that the District Electors' Roll is open for inspection and copies are available for sale at the Municipal Office during normal office hours. Any person of the full age of twenty-one years who is a British subject and has resided in New Zealand for one year and in the Borough of Taupo during the three months then last past, is entitled to have his or her name entered on the list. Persons holding freehold or rating qualifications, as provided for in the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, are also entitled to enrolment. Any person entitled to be enrolled and whose name does not appear on the Main Roll, should make immediate application for enrolment as the Supplementary Roll CLOSES at 5 P.M., FRIDAY, 10th September, 1965. Attention is drawn to Section 88 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, which provides for compulsory enrolment of electors holding residential qualifications and a fine for non-compliance with this requirement.
