Six Remanded For Disorderly Behaviour
Six young men, charged with disorderly behaviour on the Taupo harbour foreshore on Saturday evening, were remanded by Mr K. G. Winton, J.P., in the Taupo Magistrate's Court yesterday to appear On September 13. Bail was allowed. The men are: Rocklin Cuthbert, 18, Richard Athens Iraia, 19, Matthew Broughton, 19, Joseph Mahara, 35, Paul Rewiti, 22, all Taupo mill hands, and Anthony Habib, 21-, Wairakei, labourer. Broughton and Iraia were also charged with breaches of probation orders. In asking for a remand, Sergeant T. A. A. Marson said further inquiries were being made.
