BAPTIST CHURCH MEMBERS TAKE PART IN ACTIVITIES
During recent weeks Baptist Church members have been participating in many visits and social gatherings. Members of the International Radio Crusade arrived to prepare tape-recordings of Baptist services held throughout New Zealand The tapes recorded in Taupo will be taken to the Philippines and West Indies as an example of Baptist services. The annual visit of the Auckland Baptist members took place recently. Buses arrived bringing members of various parishes, who then proceeded to the Chateau where they spent part of the day. Saturday night was spent in Taupo and after the Sunday service, the buses returned to Auckland. Another similar visit will take place this coming Saturday. The Trans-Pacific Crusade, which is operating in Baptist Churches throughout most of New Zealand, will be receiving 130 members from United States and Hawaii, to spend two weeks here between September 12 and September 26. During this time, they will hold special meetings and services in
various Baptist churches. Taupo is co-operating with' * Tokoroa and Rotorua so -each congregation will be host to one member for one night. The annual winter show was held by the young people of the church, during which displays, items and games took place. The annual m-eeting was » held last Saturday and the ninth anniversary of the church on Sunday.
