The Springfield Ladies1 Golf Club team has won the southern division of the Thames Valley - Bay of Plenty Ladies' Golf Association's pennant series with total of 946 points. The team will contest the final with the winners of the other three groups at Rotorua on November 1. / The southern division competition was completed at Taupo last week. The Taupo team headed the field with 334 points, Springfield returned 330 points and Rotorua, 321. The Springfield team had a total of 616 after the first two rounds, Rotorua, 603, and Taupo, 562. Rotorua's final pnnts were 924 and , Taupo's, 896. A stableford competition was run in conjunction with ; last week's golf. The senior . was won by Mrs D. Barling, l Taupo, with 70 points, the > intermediate by Mrs N. ; Ngatai, Springfield, with 69 t and the junior by Mrs J. Blair, Rotorua, with 55.
