Mr W. H. West New President Of Vet. Club

Mr W. H. West, of Tokoroa, was elected president of the Putaruru Veterinary Club at its 23rd annual meeting on Thursday night at Putaruru. He defeated Mr J. Schwarz, of Okoroire, in a ballot. Both candidates are long-term members of the club's general committee. Mr West succeeds Mr C. K. James, of Whakamaru, who retlred after two years as president. An attendance of more than 50 was one of the largest in the club's recent history. One new member was elected to the general committee. He was Mr J. White, who will fill a vacancy in the Putaruru representation caused by the resignation after 14 years' service of Mr H. M. Tuck. All members who retired by rotation were re-elected unopposed.
