Owners To Be Reminded

A complaint regarding nodding thistle on Ngatapa Station, in the Taupo county bordering Wairoa county, was received by the Taupo County Council on Tuesday from the Wairoa County Council. The letter will be referred to the owners, Fletcher Holdings. The county engineer, Mr G. B. Burton, said the land had at one time been under development, but had been abandoned following a severe earthquake. There was no road into the property which, he explained, was part of a large area where development for farming and forestry had been intended. Access would be by way of Tutira, in the Hawke's Boy, and then by private road and a walk of several miles th rough bush country.
