Tribute by M.P.

A tribute to the past services of Col. and Mrs J. D. Swan has been paid by Mrs Rona Stevenson, M.P. The well-known Taupo couple have left to reside in Auckland. "Many people change their place of abode, but not so many would leave such a gap behind them as the Swan's have," says Mrs Stevenson. "Most people in Taupo knew either or bofch Colonel and Mrs Swan, and to know them was to love them. Wherever they iive, they will be worthy and acceptable citizens. "I am sure all Taupo residents would join with me in wishing them good health and happiness In their new surroundings and we hope they will come back to Taupo from time to time."
