School Pupils Were Hosts To Bell Block

More than 100 school children attended a social and dance, held at the Tauhara Primary School, on Wednesday. It was an occasion when pupils of the school were hosts to visiting children from the Bell Block Primary School, New Piymouth. The evening was preceeded by a- tour of Taupo's environs by the visitors. Pupils of both schools met at the Wairakei information centre from where they travelled to Aratiatia and Huka Falls. On Thursday, Tauhara school pupils took their guests to school for a combined sports fixture. Later more sight-seeing included a visit to Hilltop Primary School, a trip on the lake and finally a visit to the AC Baths where there were races between visitors and local pupils. -The public relations officer at the Tauhara school, Barbara Smith, has thanked the mothers who assisted with the supper on the night of the social.
