Wrong Numbers Cause Inconvenience

A large number of junior and adult book borrowers at the Taupo Pnblic Library are nsing wrong numbers when being issued with books. The librarian, Mrs D. J. Smyrk, said this in her report to Taupo Borough Council last week and added that the discovery of the wrong numbers was made when i otices were being sent out by the librarian. Mrs Smyrk reported that 60 junior and 97 adult books were added to stock in June and the total number of adult and junior books 1s now 11,831. During the month 28 adult, 20 junior and 15 county borrowers were enrolled. There are now 2181 adult, 1873 junior borrowers and 820 county borrowers. More than 9000 books were issued during the month and receipts amounted to £136/10/6.
