21st Birthday Celebration
More than IGO guests were present at the 21st birthday celebration of Peter, son of Mrs L. Forster and the late Mr Forster, held recently in Taupo. A feature of the evening was a presentation after supper by Mr D. Currie, on behalf of Peter's friends from his place of work at a motor firm in Taupo. Music for the evening was supplied by Bill Dolman's orchestra and Mr Currie was master of ceremonies and toastmaster. Pride of place at the supper was the two-tiered birthday cake made and decorated by Peter's mother. The top tier will be sent to Peter's uncle, who is serving with the New Zealand forces in Borneo. The supper was provided by Mr and Mrs J. Millett. Friends and relations were present from Hawera, Hamilton, Rotorua, Hastings and Dannevirke.
