Basketball Players Did Well

In the Taupo Indoor Basketball Association women's competition last week Tauhara Women gained a further two points at the expense of Eagles. B. Forsythe, with a- personal score of 14 points, topscored for the winners and was well supported by her team mates. For the losers, J. O'Brien and D. Coker scored 11 points each. M. Gourley, with 18 points, had a field-day against Educats. Another player who stood out for Checkers was A. Culpan, a guard who lets very little get past her. Lavenders were too strong for All Stars, running out the winners by 19 points. For the winners, D. Meuws with 18 points topscored, and B. Frost was also very good on attack. Aratiatia were too strong for Jesters, downing them by 52 points.
