Mr H. DALZELL, of Wanganui, was a visitor at the Taupo Rotary Club tea meeting on Thursday. Mr J. BYNEVELT was inducted a member of the Taupo Rotary Club last week. Dr KIM HAK-MOOK, sec-retary-general for the South Korean Red Cross, who last year visited the Taupo Red Cross Society, has written to thank the branch for its donation of three cases of clothes to people in South Korea. Mr A. J. SHAND has been appointed as the manager of Spa Road Motors. Coming from Hawera, Mr Shand is single and is interested in Rugby and was a junior referee in the Taranaki union. He played Rugby with the Hutt club and was a B grade representative. One of his interests is music and he has brought 1400 long-playing records with him. £ Mr JOHN WESTON and his wife, Margaret, have taken over management of the Kinloch Marina Store. Many people from the Taupo area knew the Westons when they were in charge of the camping grounds, store and rental boats on Lake Waikaremoana. More recently the Westons have been in business on their own account, at Tokomaru Bay. Both are keen fly fishermen and look for ward to meeting the many sportsmen who visit Western Bay.
