Queen's Guide Badges Presented

Nearly 60 guides and more than 50 adults were present at the annual meeting of the Local Association of Taupo Girl Guides, on Thursday, to see two Taupo guides, Patra Wong and Miriam Alexander, presented with their Queen's Guide badges and certificates. The presentations were made by the provincial commissioner for the New Zealand Girl Guides Association, Mrs J. E. M. Ball. Twelve guides from the recently formed TaurangaTaupo Maori School group were at the meeting. Three of the Maori guides were officially enrolled in the movement. A number of other presentations were made to guides including one to Mrs J. C. Young for her work in the Taupo association.
