Two Sorts Of Lights
The Transport Department has advised the Taupo Borough Council that in view of the increasing use of flashing lights it was felt that it had become necessary to differentiate between those vehicles which used the lights to obtain right-of-way and those which use them as a warning at the| scene of an emergency. It had been suggested that the flashing red light be retained for police, fire, ambulance and traffic vehicles and a flashing yellow light for others. The Council decided to support the application.
