Squash Group
A group of Taupo squash enthusiasts recently examined squash courts in Rotorua with the intention of seeing that no important ideas had been left out of the plan for the proposed courts in Taupo. The group went about its investigation in a practical way by actually playing on the courts. One member of the group who had not played before the trip was enthusiastic in his support of the game. He is a Taupo resident, Mr C. S. Currie, who made the following comments after returning to Taupo. "Having never seen this sport, or even a squash court before, I was astounded at the versatility of the game and the tremendous amount of exercise one can get in such a short time. "I can see terrific value for businessmen of all ages, both from the point of attaining fitness and enjoying a keenly competitive game. It 'gets you' immediately and can be played at any time convenient to the individual — regardless of the weather."
