R.T. Units For Ambulance
Radio telephones may be installed in Taupo St John ambulances provided the St John Ambulance Association can obtain equipment sufficiently powerful to overcome "dead" spots between Taupo and Rotorua. This is where- the equipment would be most used. Publicity officer for the association, Mr R. J. Pettigrew, said the telephones would increase the efficiency of the organisation because rapid contact could be made with authorities in the town. "It would be also easier for quick contact with the ambulance driver," he said.
