CONCERN OVER TOILETS IN MOTUOAPA DOMAIN AREA

Concern about the lack oi adequate toilet facilitieg in the Motuoapa Domain caniping ground was expressed to the Taupo Connty Council la(st week. There are 56 camp sites in the men's toilet and during the Christmas holiday period there was an all-day queue, it was reported. The only time toilets could be cleaned was late at night. There are 56 camp sites in the domain and, with an average of two adults and three children on each site, 280 people have to be catered for. Health regulations for camping grounds require that there be one toilet for the first 15 persons and one for each additional 20, for

men, and one for the first 12 women with one for each 16 additional. The council resolved to call for a report on the matter by the reserves committee, to be presented at the next meeting of the council.
