EXTENSIONS FOR BEACHHAVEN HOTEL
Taupo' s first licensed motel - hotel will come into being with Ihe extensions planned for Beachhaven on Lake Terrace. Eight self-contained units are to be built on ground adjacent to the present tourist licensed hotel. They will contain central heating and Tv as standard equipment, while a hot pool in the ground will complement the hotel's present inside baths.
A large car parking area is planned and extensions will be made to the present dining room to allow for an additional 80 guests. There will also be opportunities for conferences to use this room. Four of the new motel units will be self-contained entirely, the other four will have tea-and-toast f acilities to cater for fishermen. There will be separate access to the new dining room area from the outside and meals will be a la carte. This is designed to cater for the already - large number of patrons who make use of the hotel's dining facilities.
