Driving Contest Won By Chris. Fooks

There were 21 entries in the Taupo Jaycee Teenage Better Driving contest, held in Story Place, on Sunday. The highest number of points was gained by Christopher Fooks who has held a driver's licence for only a year. He Will be Taupo's entrant in the national finals of the Jaycee better driving contest, to be held in Palmerston North in September. After competition by the teenagers, the Mayor, Mr J. E. Story, driving his very big motor car, tried his skill over the course. He scored 395 points.
