Two Free Buses For Turangi?
Turangi residents will have the benefit of two free buses each week to Taupo, according to an announcement made by the Taupo Chamber of Commerce last night. The chamber is starting a free bus on July 23 to leave Turangi at 10 a.m. and return from Taupo at 3 p.m. on Fridays. The intention is to give the housewives the advantage of shopping in the Taupo commercial area. At the same time, a group of businessmen have plans for a free bus, mainly designed to cater to single men — to run on Friday evenings. A starting date for this bus has not yet been announced.
