School Teams Paid A Visit To Napier
Thirty - three Taupo primary School children, who formed two basketball teams and one Rugby team, made a return visit to oompete against Bledisloe Primary School, Napier, on Saturday. The Taupo boys had a hard time playing in muddy conditions and were beaten 3 — 9 by the final whistle. Andrew Surrell kicked a penalty for the Taupo side and of special note was Russell Fenton who, as half back, played a hard game for Taupo. The girl's basketball teams were more successful with their scoring against Bledisloe. The Taupo "A" team won 12 — 6 and the "B" team lost 4 — 1 in two matches that were hard played on both sides. This is the second year in which there has been visits between the twro schools. Next year Bledisloe will visi-t Taupo.
