Drama Festival Entries

Taupo Dramatic bociety will enter two plays in the British Drama League Festival, to be held in Taupo i on July 20 and 21. The plays are "Tread Softly" by Jean Christie, produced by Mrs Y. McCorkindale and "Phoenix Too Frequent" by Christopher Fry, produced ^ by Mr R. Newman. There will also be three entries in the competition from outside Taupo. These will be "The Civil Marri- j age" from Tokoroa, "Dangerous Twilight" from Mangakino and "Blunder" i from Reporoa. Adjudicator for the festlval will be Miss Mavis Mortland, Palmerston North. The Taupo entries have j full casts and members have been rehearsing over past weeks. These will be the first plays to be publicly perf ormed by the society | this year. Some thought is being ! given to a major production j by the society later this year but no definite details have been arranged.
