Thieves entered the sowhouse of Booth and Birnie Farms Ltd., Taupo, on Saturday night and killed and removed a Berkshire sow in full milk, leaving a young litter of 12 piglets. The company has offered a reward of £50 for informatlon which will lead to a conviction of the person or

persons responsible for what Mr Booth described this morning as a callous kJ.lling and theft. The building was lit overnight and the thieves killed the sow in her pen, dragging the carcass 300 yards to a waitjng vehicle. The sow was valued at £50 and the litter at £50.
