Confirmation

Information was received from the minister of Internal Affairs^ Mr Seath, by the Taupo Borough Council this week that the Lands and Survey Department was making a review of the areas proposed for reserves around Lake Taupo — particularly as to tenure and land use. Mr Seath said that he understood that department officers would probably seek information and assistance from the council. He confirmed that the cabinet committee appointed to examine the proposals put forward by the Taupo County Council had completed preliminary investigation and that a member of working committees to study particular aspects had been established. The committees had been asked to accord urgency to this work.
